PTU310S consists of a portable handheld watch and sensors. The portable handheld meter (PTU) adopts an integrated structure design, which can automatically or manually collect multiple parameters such as temperature, moisture, and salinity of the tested soil environment in real time, and store them in the collector. It has a built-in GPS module, which records location information while collecting data.

At the factory, it can be configured according to the type of sensor used in combination. The supported sensor types include TDT series, TDR310 series, TriSCAN, Smart, CS655, 5TE, Hydra Probe, etc.

The PTU portable soil moisture measuring instrument supports two power supply methods: 5-cell dry battery power supply and USB power supply. When the dry battery power supply is connected to the USB power supply, the instrument will prioritize using the USB power supply to save battery power.
